The Carrizal, a small and quiet community located at the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, whose natural beauties make it an ideal corner for ecotourism, offers you hiking or mountain biking routes, traversing places amid millenary pine and oak forests. If you like fishing and you have equipment, you can fish a rainbow trout in lakes La Nevería or Cienaga, as well as in the farm. Learn about the elaboration of whole wheat bread or just rest, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the place.

FOOD:  Enjoy the traditional gastronomy in the three local dining rooms. Or savor fresh and delicious trout on the farm. Delight yourself with the flavor of whole wheat bread or wheat atole and try the seasonal fruit that is grown in the locality.

WATERFALL: It is located 15 minutes from the community, in this place you can be closer to nature on a walking tour we can reach the first attraction that the carrizal offers; a natural waterfall with a height of 40 meters. During this tour we can see pine trees, flowers, mosses, hongos.etc.

LANDSCAPE AND LAGOON: La Neveria, which is located 20 minutes walking from the community, offers a great natural beauty in which you can have an approach to this sanctuary where you can do a walking tour or mountain bike besides other activities like fishing or camping.

TROUTS: Enjoy the traditional gastronomy in the restaurant El Carrizal, which offers you fresh and delicious trouts.

Getting there: 66 Kilometers. Drive along federal highway Nº 190-Oaxaca-Isthmus to Tlacolula; Take the deviation to the left towards Diaz Ordaz, and continue north towards Cuajimoloyas; After passing this community and Llano Grande. You will find to the right the deviation that after six kilometers takes you to the Carrizal.
