It is a loft with kitchen. It has hot water all the time, gas stove, kettle, microwave, big fridge with freezer, fast and reliable internet, private bathroom, . The flat is perfect for independent travellers who like having their own space and be self-sufficient while travelling. The flat is located inside a building with extra security wall, the host family have their house next to the apartment so in case you need anything you have instant access to help or guidance.
Cleaning is once a week with change of towels and sheets, we provide you drinking water.
I rent this space as a self catering apartment. You are responsible for your consumables. You have a starter kit but once I runs out you have to buy your own consumables like toilet paper, trash bags, soap.
Due to water scarcity in Oaxaca, we are not able to provide laundry service but there is a laundry nearby the apartment. We have water containers underground which allow us to provide constant water for bathrooms and kitchen.
The flat is located in a very nice neighbourhood one of the oldest in Oaxaca it is called Jalatlaco. There are coffeshops around, restaurants, mercados, grocery stores, supermarkets, gyms, there is a Park 2 blocks from the apartment to go running.
The flat is located right between Jalatlaco neighbourhood and the centre, right where all things happen, parades, close to restaurants, if you come during dia de Muertos Jalatlaco is the place to be. Oaxaca is not the quietest places in the world, it is a city full of festivals, religious celebrations and other customs like Day of the Death and Guelaguetza, hence if you are looking for a quiet place to be this is not the right location. Most of the time it can be quiet, however during festivities it is not quiet and there are some noises that are normal to us in this part of the world like dogs barking, churches ringing their bells when there are religious festivities, parades, the occasional quinceanera in the neighbourhood so if you like quietness look at one of my other listings, this is a place to stay if you are looking for a trendy-hipster neighbourhood and you want to be walking distance from all the activities in the city. Be aware that Oaxaca is a city full of festivals and activities, especially in the centre.
The flat is located in a Jalatlaco neighbourhood, 5 minutes walking to Santo Domingo church which is the main point of Oaxaca centre.
